Come celebrate country life with us!
We have all sorts of Country Pleasures planned. Here's what we have in store for you:

Friday, August 21, 2009

SEE A SHEEP BEING SHEARED. Then learn about processing the fleece. Next you'll create a one of a kind design using roving from our flock.

HOMEMADE BREAD! Artisan bread making is very popular. Learn how to make bread the easy way. No doubt about it- your family will thank us for teaching you to make your own bread!

RASPBERRY JAM! We'll show you how to make it. You might even have time to pick raspberries from our patch to take home.

~ Then we'll serve you a country lunch! ~

After you've flavored all this country living get ready to create projects inspired by, what else -- Bread Baking, Jam Making and Sheep Shearing!

SIMPLE APRON. We'll create it with an appliquèd pocket (you can wear it making your bread!)

LEARN NEEDLE FELTING with fleece from our flock.

COLLECT RASPBERRY LEAVES FROM THE PATCH. Print the leaves you collect. Frame them with an old technique of piecing on the sheets of our newspaper, the Bozeman Chronicle.

YOU'LL NEED A MAT for your teapot when you're enjoying Homemade Bread and Raspberry Jam. You'll learn another vintage technique -- make a lockerhooked teapot mat.

YOU'LL HAVE SO MUCH FUN wandering around in our beautiful gardens, in our Quilting in the Country shop, and in the Quinn's homey kitchen. We're absolutely certain that you will leave after a Day in the Country feeling refreshed and ready for the real world again.

THE COST of this delightful day of old-fashioned pleasures is $99. The cost includes the demonstrations and 4 kits to complete the hands-on projects and the country lunch. If you've attended the Day in the Country in the past you know it is a day you'll treasure forever!

Saturday, August 22, 2009

AFTER YOU'VE ATTENDED the Quilts on the Lawn Show, August 22, at the Emerson Cultural Center in downtown Bozeman, please come back to visit us at Quilting in the Country. Just for old time's sake we plan to hang our Painted Ladies Quilts made at the Philipsburg Retreat last fall. These quilts will give you lots of ideas for creating your own Painted Lady quilt! You'll enjoy all our original designs, great fabric and fresh ideas.

~ Just for fun!! ~

ALL DAY SATURDAY, August 22 on our clotheslines-- Antique Apron Display. Apron chitchat and how-to tips all day long. Our friendly staff is looking forward to welcoming you for tea and cookies. Bring a box lunch and a quilt to spread out on the lawn and enjoy lunch under the trees in our front yard.

Please join us! It'll be just like old times.
